On this tour, you are picked up in Dunmore East or Waterford, heading for Kells Priory. We walk through the ruined buildings and get to know the history of the place (please bring solid sneakers or walking shoes as we have to walk across a field with animals) – driving distance from Dunmore East about 1h, from Waterford about 40 mins.

From here, we head to Kilkenny City, where you can explore a medieval castle. Also the town itself is worth exploring. It’s medieval layout hasn’t changed for more than 400 years. Why not venture up or down hidden slip ways. Distance from Kells Priory about 30 mins.

To finish the day before you head back to your boat, you can experience a tour in a working crystal factory – Waterford Crystal Factory. Watch the crafts people producing the most stunning pieces. From here we are only about 30 mins away from Dunmore East, where your tender boat is getting you back to your cruise ship

Should the tour be cancelled by Carlow Tours, the full amount will be refunded. Should the tour be cancelled by a third party or due to “an act of god” like weather conditions, no refund will be given. Should the tour be cancelled by the customer up to 2 weeks prior to the tour, refund without deposit will be given. Should the tour be cancelled 2 weeks or closer, no refund will be given
